Inauguration Day...

Well, the day has come when the big B.O. gets in the house!
Liam and I had a great time out among the mayhem the Inauguration has brought to the city...actually it wasn't nearly as bad as anticipated.
We spent the swearing in and speech on the East Front side of the Capital (the opposite side of the main event) where we waited to see the Bush's take off. We watched a bit of the speech at a church across the street from where we were waiting, hit the rest rooms and had ourselves a much needed hot chocolate.
After we saw the Bush's off, we went to check out the chaos on the other side of the Capital and stumbled upon pretty good seats for the motorcade for the parade.
The luck of the Irish was certainly with us today as we waited in no lines, had a great view of everything, and NO crowd on the metro coming or going!
Here's to hoping the next 4 years go just as well as our Inauguration experience.

All bundled up on the Metro
Ready to face the cold...and the crowd
On the TV at the church across from the Capital
The church crowd watching the Inauguration
Our view of the East Front (those are the Military Band buses on the sides)
The Bush's, Obama's & Biden's coming out to Marine 1 (or whatever it's called now that he's not current)
More Bush's and Obama's
Even more Bush's and Obama's
And still more Bush's and Obama's
Off they go...
They did a little circle around the city (we think)
Facing the crowd...Liam was NOT happy about all the trash they left behind.
We love a parade!
Waiting for the motorcade
(heard Ted Kennedy had to go and pass out and delayed the whole thing well over an hour...it was freezing!)
Liam waiting for the parade
It finally begins...

Here comes the 44th President!

This is the best picture we got of him!
